A luxurious oasis for recreation is near the river bend
Martynas Vainorius, Daily newspaper "Vakaru ekspresas".
Construction of villas and apartments intended for recreation will begin already at the end of the summer, in Palangas Sventoji, near Pylimo Street.
The project, during the implementation period of which an artificial pond will be formed, is implemented by the seaport company "Baltijos aktima". Supposedly, about 32 mln Litas will be invested during the three construction periods.
Two ordinary buildings with attic floor consisting of 36 apartments are projected to be constructed in 1,1 hectares area
.
Near these buildings, a pond of about 30 ares area, meeting Sventoji River that surrounds the site, will be shaped using groundwater. Under this pond, a heavy-duty collector of a thermal pump will be mounted to provide the whole guest house complex with ecological heating.
On the other side of the pond, 4 houses each consisting of 2 lodgments will be built. Their windows will overlook the view into the Sventoji river bend. Public building will also be constructed nearby, where a bathhouse and a conference hall will operate.
Facade tin and larch will be used for facade finish of especially modern buildings. Project authors are a collective of architects consisting of: S. Dainius, A. Giriunas, E. Kusas, Z. Vilcinskas.
Total area of the whole complex, excluding public building, amounts up to almost 8 500 square metres. Residential area will amount up to about 6 000 square metres, one third of which will be designed for terraces.
Underground automobile parking areas holding 70 automobiles will be constructed under the buildings. Investors will also create the following infrastructure: recreation and sport grounds, paths for pedestrians and bicycles. An administration formed especially for this purpose will supervise the complex.
The complex is only about one kilometre away from the sea. Thus, it is forecasted that the majority of the apartments in this complex will be purchased as an investment and be rented for holiday makers both in summer and winter.
The developers of the project hope that recreation in villas and apartments settled in the shelter of the natural environment guaranteeing life quality will become a good alternative for the recreation in the Curonian Lagoon.
